Two routes, no retainer.
Paid at credit and design approval.
Following our meeting on 15 October. Inside our field footprint, our agents run the whole sale, from the first call to a signed contract. Everywhere else you want covered, we book qualified appointments straight into your team's diary. No retainer on either route. A deal is paid once the customer has credit approval and design approval.
Every hand-off costs a sale
A lead passed from one sales team to another a day later, then to someone else for credit, loses customers at every step. Where we have agents, we take the hand-offs out. Where we don't, we make the one hand-off clean, with clear rules on both sides.
Quote and application, without the hand-off
Our agent quotes the customer and, if they choose to apply, guides them through the application on the spot or by a link straight after. Your team first meets the customer at application.
Visibility both ways
Every application and every booked appointment carries our referral code and agent name. Your CRM sends a daily status report on each one, so nobody wonders whether a customer was seen.
Our sales team where we're strong. Your team everywhere else.
The leads are ours either way, and so is the marketing cost. Where the customer lives decides who sells to them.
Field sales, inside our footprint
Johannesburg to start, where our field team works today. Our agents find, visit and quote the customer, then guide them through the application.
Booked appointments for your team
Areas outside our footprint where you want coverage and your agents will attend, such as Cape Town, Bloemfontein, and Vereeniging and the Vaal, with more areas such as KwaZulu-Natal by agreement. We qualify the customer and book them into your diary. Your agent sells.
The footprint map is agreed in writing at the start and reviewed monthly. As our field team grows, areas can move from Route B to Route A by agreement.
We run the sale. You approve and install.
We find and qualify the customer
From our own database and campaigns, at our cost, to the qualified lead definition in section 04.
Our agent visits and quotes
The first quote comes from our own quoting system, priced on your current packages, so every quote is tracked on our side. The agent shows the customer their estimated saving.
We guide the application
If the customer chooses to apply, we take them through your application on site, or send them a link to complete it. Either way it's captured under our referral code and our agent's name. If the customer needs time, our follow-up team stays with them.
You approve, design and install
Credit review, technical design approval, scheduling, installation and the subscription. The customer and the recurring revenue are yours.
Route A pricing, per approved deal
- An approved deal is a signed contract, submitted under our referral code, where your credit team has approved the customer and your technical team has given design approval. In other words, the customer is pending installation.
- Payable on approval, not installation. Installation scheduling sits with you. The deal counts in the period it reaches design approval.
- Brackets are set at design approval. A customer who cancels later doesn't reduce that period's bracket. Any refund applies to that deal alone, under the warranty in section 06.
- Your application tools, our tracking. The quote is ours, the application is yours, and the referral code and agent name connect the two.
Clear rules on what's payable, and when
Lead arrangements usually break down at the edges: the customer reschedules, the customer cancels, someone calls them twice. These rules settle those cases before they come up.
What a qualified lead is
- Lives in an area on the agreed Route B list.
- Spends more than R1,500 a month on electricity.
- Understands the subscription offer and agrees to a consultation at the point of transfer.
- Is booked into your diary 2 to 10 days ahead, with name, number, address and bill amount.
- Isn't already an active lead or customer in your system from the last 90 days.
- Carries our unique reference number, which every status update quotes.
When a lead is payable
- R400 on transfer, when the booking lands in your diary under our referral code.
- You can reject a lead within 2 business days of transfer if it fails Rule 1, for example out of area, a duplicate, wrong details or below the spend threshold.
- If a customer says they never agreed to a consultation, we review the call recording. If they didn't agree, we replace or credit the lead. If they did, it's billable.
- Every cancellation before the appointment is priced into the R400. If pre-appointment cancellations go above 10% of a period's leads, we'll review it with you.
When a deal is payable
- R4,000 once both credit approval and design approval are in place, the same test as Route A.
- Tracked by the referral code you issue us, on any approval within 12 months of the appointment date, matching the warranty period.
Diary, rescheduling and cancellations
- No second qualification call. Your team adds the booking to the diary and the agent attends. A follow-up call to re-check interest (super-qualification) has been shown to cut the number of sales these projects produce.
- A booking window of 2 to 10 days. Appointments are set no sooner than 2 days and no later than 10 days after transfer, so leads stay current and your diary isn't overwhelmed. We agree diary capacity with you.
- A customer reschedule keeps the lead valid. It isn't a new lead and it isn't a rejection.
- A customer cancellation after transfer, or a missed visit on your side, doesn't void the lead. Tell us and we'll try to rebook the customer once at no charge.
- Rejected leads stay ours. If you reject a lead for any reason, we keep ownership and may place it elsewhere.
- Daily status on every lead. Your CRM reports daily on every lead in our portfolio, by our reference number.
- Customers who want to own the system. If a lead comes back cancelled or not interested because you don't offer an ownership route, we may buy it back by crediting the R400 lead fee, and place the customer with an ownership provider.
- Our follow-up. We may follow up any Route B lead and any Route A application under our code to help it convert. Once a deal is approved and paid for, we make no further solar contact with that customer.
Built around your R8,000 number
You told us your cost to acquire is falling and you want efficiency built in. Route B does that on its own. At a 1 in 10 conversion it lands at R8,000 a deal, and every point of conversion your team adds brings it down.
Starting rate. Covers our agent, travel, quote and application support, so there's no field sales cost on your side.
The average if half your approved deals come from each route.
10 booked appointments at R400, plus R4,000 on approval, at a 10% conversion. Lower if you convert better.
A 12-month warranty on every deal
You credit vet and design every customer before they reach approval, but we still stand behind them for their first year. You won't be left paying for customers who don't perform.
- Cancelled after design approval, before installation. We refund the full fee for that deal, for any reason, if the cancellation is within 30 days of design approval. That gives you a month to install. After 30 days without an installation, a cancellation isn't refunded, because installation timing sits with you.
- Route A, cancelled and system retrieved in the first 12 months. We refund the share of our fee for the debit orders you didn't collect. The system must be retrieved, and you send us a statement showing exactly how many debit orders were collected.
- Route B, cancelled and system retrieved in the first 12 months. We refund the R4,000 deal fee in full, however many debit orders were collected. The R400 lead fees aren't refundable.
- Not covered: cancellations where the cause sits with Wetility, such as a faulty installation or a service failure.
- How refunds happen. Credit notes are deducted from our next statement, or paid back if there's no further statement.
A Route A customer pays 6 of their first 12 debit orders. You cancel the contract, retrieve the system and send us the statement. 6 of 12 collected is 50%, so we refund half the deal fee. At R10,000, that's a R5,000 credit note.
A Route B customer pays 8 of their first 12 debit orders. You cancel the contract, retrieve the system and send us the statement. Route B refunds are flat, so we refund the full R4,000 deal fee as a R4,000 credit note. The lead fee stays.
Running to 28 February 2027, reviewed in early February*
A field sales operation needs enough appointments and enough time for customers to sign, be approved and pay before the numbers mean anything. So the pilot runs for four months, not a week.
Set up and first visits
NDA signed, the SLA agreed, a tutorial on your systems and products, the footprint map confirmed, then the first Route A visits and Route B bookings.
Ramp up
More appointments and more agents as the process holds. Our call centre closes on 20 December.
Back at full pace
Call centre and field team reopen on 7 January, working the follow-ups and the new year's demand.
Review together
Volumes and lessons to 31 January: appointments booked, visits done, applications submitted, approvals, cancellations and cost per deal, by route and by agent. February runs on while we agree the terms for the rest of 2027.
* How to read the review. December into January is the hardest trading period of the year. Customers travel, decision-makers are away, credit and installation teams run lean, and our call centre closes from 20 December to 7 January. The data to 31 January will hold about six weeks of active trade plus a few weeks of getting back up to speed, so we'll read it for effort and lessons as much as for volume. The pilot keeps running to 28 February, so nothing stops while we agree the next step.
A mutual NDA and a short SLA
Five things to get going
A referral code for our submissions and bookings. Tell us how you'd like to issue it.
A daily status feed on every application and booking.
Logins and a tutorial for your application tools, with our agent's name captured on each application.
Current packages and pricing, so our quoting system quotes exactly what you sell, and your savings tool.
A named contact for escalations, the Route B diary, and larger or commercial enquiries.
Simple terms
A monthly cycle. Leads supplied and deals approved from the 16th of one month to the 15th of the next are tallied. We send you the statement, and you pay it by the last day of that month.
Approvals survive. A deal approved within 12 months of its appointment date is payable even if the pilot ends.
Month to month during the pilot, on 30 days' notice either way.
Non-exclusive on both sides. A solar enquiry doesn't stop us offering the same customer CCTV, alarms, air conditioning or heat pumps.
A mutual NDA with 12-month non-solicitation and non-circumvention: no approach to each other's staff or sales agents, and no going around each other on customers or partners introduced here. It underpins the SLA.
Let's get the first agents trained
The proposed SLA sets these terms out in full, and the pilot confirms them. Download it below. Once the mutual NDA is signed, we book the tutorial.
